Manufacturing Match Making Event 2020

On July 23, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Association of Supporting Industries (VASI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) jointly organized the event "Manufacturing Match Making Event 2020".

COVID-19 epidemic is still complicated, unpredictable and has a negative impact on all socio-economic fields of many countries around the world; including Vietnam. As a country deeply integrated with the world, the supply chains in Vietnam's manufacturing industry are also affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.
Ms. Truong Thi Chi Binh, General Secretary of the Vietnam Supporting Industry Association, said that the 2020 manufacturing industry connection was the foundation to help strengthen the connection between leading sourcing businesses in Vietnam. Vietnam and Vietnamese small and medium enterprises.
“VASI will accompany support for businesses present in the global supply chain. Hopefully, there will be more cooperation agreements between potential businesses after this event, ”Chi Binh said.

According to Ms. Duong Thi Kim Lien, USAID LinkSME Project Deputy Director, Vietnam has been actively improving the business environment to promote connectivity of global supply chain businesses. The project to promote reform and improve the connectivity of small and medium-sized enterprises is a technical support for businesses. At the same time, the desire to accompany businesses to analyze weaknesses and obstacles to how to support connecting for small and medium enterprises together.
At this event, more than 100 manufacturing industry enterprises including leading enterprises met and connected with suppliers of component production and supporting industrial products in areas such as metal industry. , electrical, electronics, plastic, rubber and automation.
In addition, businesses participate, display products and share the latest information on the development and new technologies in the manufacturing industry, and build business relationships.
After the connection event, on July 20, 2020, VASI will support 50 Vietnamese enterprises participating in the event to visit and work in two Vietnamese businesses in the metal and electronics industry to listen and Sharing lessons learned about participating in global supply chain.
